I'm Dr. Monisha Puhazh, a veterinarian with a comprehensive background in veterinary medicine, animal care, and disease prevention. I graduated from Madras Veterinary College - TANUVAS in 2018 with a B.V.Sc & A.H degree. I started my career as a Junior Research Fellow at Madras Veterinary College, gaining practical experience in the Injection and Vaccination wards. After two years, I moved to private practice, providing primary care for dogs, cats, and birds. I also completed one of the internships at Arignar Anna Zoological Park, one of India's oldest and most renowned zoos. In 2022, I was appointed as a Veterinary Assistant Surgeon through the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC). My role includes disease prevention, vaccination, artificial insemination, and primary care treatment for livestock. I also conducted awareness camps on disease prevention and infertility for farmers and rural communities. I recently moved to California and willing to continue my career in Veterinary Medicine and seeking career guidance.
