Bio Dr. Lokesh Motanam earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati, India, in 2017. Seeking further education and career advancement, he moved to the United States and completed a master’s degree in animal sciences at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. Following his master's program, he volunteered at various local hospitals in North Carolina while completing his clinical experience. He completed the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) certification program in 2022 and relocated to Virginia that same year, where he worked as a general practitioner. ​ His professional interests encompass internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and preventive medicine, and he is developing an interest in ultrasound. Dr. Lokesh motanam recently completed a six-month internship in emergency medicine at Columbia Animal Hospital & Emergency Center. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. In his free time, Dr. Lokesh Motanam enjoys playing sports and traveling. ​ Dr. Lokesh motanam is incredibly excited to meet all the pets and clients of Village Veterinary Clinic.
